Mayo, buttons, and time travel oh my!

Oh, Deer!
I had been troubled by nightmares for weeks. Each night was the same strange images followed by a warning delivered by talking deer. A car tumbling down a hill. A truck sliding sideways down the highway above the pass. A man without eyebrows laughing. “BEWARE!” said the deer.

It was her! The woman he had dreamed about for three long years. His heart beat so loud in his chest he worried everyone in the room could hear it. How could this be? He had created her in his own lucid dreams to combat the loneliness he had experienced while he was at war.
