Night Owls

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

The woman sitting in the chair looks just like a older version of the little girl in the photograph. Shaking his head, he sighs. "That can't be her..."

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

Jerry curses and shoves the woman out of the way,just as the creature lunged for her. She screams out as the creature digs it's teeth into his flesh. Jerry stood there in shock,feeling his blood flow out of his wound. The last thing he remembers before blacking out was her.
