Night Owls

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

He saw her looking into her bag with a worried look in her eyes, like she realised that something was missing. Jerry decided to go and ask her about the photograph, and he said “is that yours?” She nodded and took the photograph, and the worried look turned into relaxed one.

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

They were in shock. They asked themselves, “Where did that thing come from?” The thing moves toward the woman. They were scared from it! They didn’t know what the thing wanted. It finally spoke and said, “The photograph…you stole it!”
