Night Owls

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

Finally he gathered the courage to walk over to the woman and speak to her. He said: Hi, are you waiting for someone"?

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

The creature stared to speak in an ethereal humming voice: "Greating you earthlings. I come from a higher dimension to tell you that you will be granted access to a parallel universe.
