Night Owls

Jerry glanced down at the photograph in his hand, then back up again at the woman sitting alone at the back of the cafe.

Jerry looked at the woman and as the woman looked up from taking a sip of her pumpkin spice latte she caught Jerry's gaze and for a moment they were just staring at each other.

All at once a blinding light coursed through the space. Jerry and the woman froze. And then a creature appeared, seemingly from the air itself.

Jerry gasped but the woman did not. Instead the creature seemed to suck into the woman's body. And now the creature had possessed this woman, the woman was now alive.
