Imagine this scene..A bear enters a house, makes a sandwich and sits down to watch a sitcom, but this is not his house and is late at night, so the owner of the house wakes up, goes to the first floor and finds that the bear is asleep in the couch!
Now imagine my surprise when I come to discover this scene in my house and see some guy hiding behind the couch. He seems to be in an absolute state of shock, his sweat mirroring the flow of the Niagara Falls. While I notice he’s holding my laptop under his arm our gazes meet.
"Who are you and why do you have my laptop?" I ask the guy hiding behind the couch. The guy sweated and sweated and then whispered, "Bear.."
"Bear? What bear? There's no bear around here. What are you even doing in my house? Give me back my laptop--"
"ROAR!"
I turned.
Oh. A bear.
Suddenly a woman runs at me, making both of us crash onto the floor. The bear roars again, the guy hollering at it. She sits up and holds my face in her hands. My eyes search hers and for a second I felt. . .warm. . .tingly. . .safe. She looked away and yelled at the bear. It ran
towards her, then stopped. It kneeled down, lowered its head in deference. She walked over. “Rise, Sir Bear. You have done well.” She trained her eyes on me. “Sorry to trick you. I had to know the truth of your heart. Will you join my quest?” And so began my greatest adventures.
