The radio crackled to life
A song filled the darkness l one his grandma used to play
she sat beside his hospital bed for the tenth time that year playing it for him until they let him go
suddenly the city was even darker

Grandma still listens to the song now and then when no one is around, but I’ve seen her… when I sneak a look. I see her crying. It makes me feel bad, and I wonder what to do. One day, I heard a crash. So I ran upstairs, and I saw her with the record player smashed on the floor.
