Ivy was just your average teenager who just couldn’t catch a break. She wanted to become this outgoing girl but she was too shy until she met (YC.) which caused her to become more than out going. “God I just want to be noticed by someone.” She spoke softly to no one in particular

The forest listened to this request. It thought until something was decided upon. The bell had just rung at Ivy’s school, and the students practically jammed the halls as they tried to leave. Ivy sighed. The roots of the trees in the forest twisted and created life that breathed.

New branches with greenish leaves were constantly being created. The students cruelly removed their leaves, and Ivy was frustrated that there was nothing she could do. The forest was slowly eating away at the place, the walls looked like scales with so many leaves.

I need to find the heart of the forest, thought Ivy as she picked through the shrubbery. It was the only way to control it. However, she needed help. None of the students would; they made their views on the forest clear. There was one possibility, but they hadn’t talked in years.

With none of her students wanting to help find the heart of the forest, Ivy was left with the only one choice. Her old professor and mentor, Oak. It's an arduous hike to his cabin and although uncertain if he is there, she knocks. "Professor Oak I need your help to control this."

The door creaked open slowly, revealing Oak's weathered face framed by a long, silver beard. His eyes, sharp despite his age, assessed Ivy with a mix of curiosity and concern. “I knew this day would come,” he said, stepping aside. “Come in, and let’s see what’s unraveling.”

Together they stepped onto the forest floor. A tree sprouted under their feet, lifting them up above the canopy as it grew at lightning speed. From there, they watched the vines and pines of the world-spanning forest entwine, envelop, and hide the ruins of the last cities.

“We just wanted to fix things,” I plead with them to believe me. “We wanted it to stop.” A tear slid down my cheek.

But they paid me no mind, shunting me into the regular security line. TSA PreCheck felt 20 miles away, moving with a brisk brio far down the hallway. I knew I had to do something with the knife after all.

I shouldn't have accepted money to sneak a knife into an airport. I got nervous at the metal detector, dropped the knife, and kicked it away with my shoe, then made it past without any issues. And as for the money… well, they never said I had to get it past airport TSA, did they?

Everyone was in shock. They couldn't even gather up their minds after what they have just witnessed

It was a very unusual sight to have witnessed but they couldn’t stop looking. The horror which was unfolding was making them unable to move from their spots. It was like they were in a trans. ‘It’s too late.’ She thought as she couldn’t move herself from that very spot.

The sludge moved with a life of its own and eyes stared back at them. It screeched like a bird without a tweet or chirp left in it. The aura that left the sludge was one of dread and fear. Panic reigned true as the sludge took a form.

The sludge formed up into the shape of movie star Vin Diesel, but half size and very gooey. Mini-Vin flexed, smiled, and opened his gooey mouth-hole as if to speak. The sound that issued forth was

A guttural, wet fart that became almost a squeak at the end. Followed by an intense fountain of diarrhea. His diarrhea became a thousand mini vins who flexed, smiled and stood on eachothers shoulders to create a full sized vin. An angry full sized vin who had in his hands

a clean, spotless jack-in-the-box with a wry, crooked simper quacked angrily at her. Suddenly, the jack-in-the-box grew in size in an alarming rate until it crowded the space they were in, shocking both her and the full-sized vin.

She was dumbfounded; well, dumbfounded but still in charge of her bodily movement. She ran and ran but it chased her relentlessly. Again and again, she outran it, only for it to quickly catch up to her. This went on and on… and it still goes on in her mind. Because she remembers…

My grandparents hate me on both sides of my family I don’t know why. I’m going to find out though. If only I could time travel into the past and find out why. My parents split up for whatever reason and now I want to know more. I’m in college as well and the name is Liliana.

I just got a pair of retro 3D glasses today from a street peddler and he told me it can let me see the past of whoever I look at through them. When I looked at my mother today I saw a teenager sobbing on the floor of a bathroom with a positive pregnancy test.

“Am I an orphan?” my idiot brain said. Right then and there was the moment I realized these glasses are timeline warps, as my body took on the form of an eight year old in an orphanage.

“Where am I?” I thought. What is this? I was so confused and disturbed that I ran out of the orphanage and down the street, my mind flooded with thoughts. Had I really traveled back in time? Had I simply morphed into an orphan?

That was it, I had finally found my destiny. I became the mighty morphing orphan. I could move through time and space with a thought, and save the world with my skills. But I would never escape the sadness inside of myself.

I woke up feel the ache of the loss of my mate. I wasn’t sure how it happened but I knew something wasn’t right. He was right there next to me but I looked over and he wasn’t there anymore. I got out of bed and went down the hall and out the door to find him outside.

I called his name, but he didn’t look at me. Puzzled, I took one step closer. Suddenly, he spun around. There was a horribly cruel, wicked look plastered to his pale face. And something more-
His teeth were razor-sharp and dripping blood.
And then I knew- he had become a vampire.

His head turned as a confused dog’s might, and he chuckled.He ran to a wall and climbed it until he was out of sight. I stood there, shocked and in awe.When I snapped back to reality, I decided to follow him in hopes of finding some kind of weakness or cure, whichever came first.

Since I could not simply climb up the wall as he did, I searched for a way past the wall. After walking alongside the wall, which felt like hours, I stumbled upon a crack in the wall large enough to fit my arm through it. I peeked through the crack and saw

A large orange lever. There was a sign above it that read “PULL IN CASE OF HOPELESS SITUATION”. I pulled it down. An alarm blared. I backed away then turned and ran as the wall crumbled. When the smoke cleared I was in a meadow, free but alone.
